Project Title: City of Santa Barbara, Ocean and Mountain View Documentation
Location: Santa Barbara, Ca
Contractor: URS; City of Santa Barbara
Description: Concerned citizens requested that Santa Barbara's magnificent ocean and mountain views be incorporated into the planning process in a systematic way. Videoscapes proposed to comb the requested view corridors for significant views and assemble those in an easy to reference manner (browser based: see sample). City staff then picked out the best views, and these were photographed under controlled conditions so that the views were comparable in scale. Most of the 56 views were stitched into panoramas.
2005
Project Title:
Isla Vista Master Plan
Location: Santa Barbara County, Ca
Contractor: SAIC; County of Santa Barbara
Description: Conceptual designs for the revitalization of downtown Isla Vista were used to generate highly detailed photo simulations to permit "before" and "after" comparisons. Simulations showing three storey and five storey height simulations were done for comparitive purposes.
Project Title: City of Taft, Conceptual Downtown Development Plan
Location: Taft, Ca
Contractor: Alex Pujo, Architect and Jeff Lockwood, Developer
Description: In order to engender enthusiasm and support for a conceptual downtown development scenario, videoscapes generated highly detailed and plausible images of what is, in fact, a very conceptual and preliminary design.
2004
Project Title: City of Oxnard Grade Separation/ Trench Alternatives
Location: Oxnard, Ca
Contractor: MNS Engineers.
Description: Rapid urban growth requires a massive project to separate the railway from surface street traffic in the City of Oxnard. Videoscapes provided an exhaustive set of photo simulations showing the appearance of either building bridges and overpasses over the rail right-of-way, or placing the entire track in a 23 foot deep trench. Many simulations depict aerial views, with the base photos taken from a helicopter.
Project Title: Ortega Ridge Reservoir Cover
Location: Montecito, Ca
Contractor: Padre Associates; Montecito Water District
Description: Photo simulations showe the appearance of the aluminum reservoir cover that will protect the water supply stored in the Ortega Ridge reservoir. Images showed the visual impacts of different paint colors and landscaping scenarios.
2003
Project Title: Cottage Hospital Expansion
Location: Santa Barbara, Ca
Contractor: Cottage Health Services, Inc.; Cearnal Architects; LBL Architects.
Description: Photo simulations showed appearance of proposed design from selected viewpoints. Images were used for ABR (Architectural Board of Review) presentation depicting before and after scenarios.
Project Title: Marborg Recycling Plant
Location: Santa Barbara, Ca
Contractor: Lenvik and Minor, Architects
Description: Photo simulations of proposed recycling facility. The over forty foot tall airplane hanger style structure covers one city block next to Highway 101. Views from moving vehicle used for photo simulations.

Project Title: William K. Bowes Bldg
Location: Thousand Oaks, Ca
Contractor: Black Diamond Productions, Inc
Description: Create 15 second animation for television of 100,000+ sq ft building from plan and elevation drawings . . . in 10 days. Videoscapes was able to meet the deadline with high quality digital video that showed the building in its landscaped surroundings, complete with animated fountains.
Project Title: Simi Valley Landfill Expansion
Location: Simi Valley, California
Contractor: Science Applications International, Inc (SAIC)
Description: Photo simulations of the proposed landfill expansion at buildout were created for a supplemental EIR.
